USAVA Institute

It is obvious that the primary goal of Association is to formulate diagnostic and medical approaches to treatment of diseases veterinary surgeon faces in his practice. Active members of Association carried out much work to found Integrated USAVA Higher School.

We paid attention to all conferences that took place this year all over the world and to every publication in small animal veterinary magazines. We receive and analyze thoroughly this information and compare it with results of our own work. It formed the basis of lectures presented at USAVA Institute.

Year after year more and more association members share their skills and knowledge. Lectures are delivered by leading experts in the field of small animal veterinary medicine from our country. All lectures cover the previously chosen subject.

We are sure that Integrated USAVA Higher School activities will result in recommendations on treatment of patients with various pathologies that will be published in 2012-2013.

Part I: «Anesthesia in cats and dogs». Sedative and anesthetic preparations. Anesthetic equipment. Monitoring of patients and infusion therapy during anesthesia. O. Polatajko

Part II: «Oncologic patient in veterinary practice, features of treatment. Introduction in oncology, epidemiology of cancer, etiology and pathogenesis of neoplastic diseases». «Diagnostic methods of Neoplastic diseases. Cytological and histological sampling techniques. Bone biopsy material sampling. Bone marrow puncture». N. Ignatenko

Part I: «Veterinary herpetology course». Anatomy and physiology (anatomic topography of organs) of reptiles: turtles, snakes, lizards. Fixation and blood drawing techniques, principals of clinical examination. Practical part (Perfection of injection and palpation techniques, giving of medicinal preparations). L. Stoyanov

Part I: «Introduction in veterinary cardiology». (Master class is concerned to theoretical material but at the end of the event complete cardiologic examination of a patient can be carried out.) Cardiologic examination includes: anamnesis, clinical study, analysis of thorax roentgenograms, electrocardiograms; echocardiography. V. Chernov

Part I: Peripheral blood indices interpretation, bone marrow and punctuates from organs and tissues. Rabies and diseases with similar symptoms: prevention, diagnostics, control. A. Zavoloka

Part II: Clinical diagnostics: normal blood indices, auscultation. Bacterial, fungal and viral infections of reptiles.

Therapy. Practical part (autopsy). Analgesia and a narcosis in reptiles. Surgical approach techniques in various kinds of reptiles. Divers surgical intervention techniques. L. Stoyanov

Part II. «Dirofilariasis in dogs». 2. «Dirofilariasis in cats». 3. «Urgent treatment of respiratory system diseases». (Cardiogenic lung edema considered in detail). 4. «Differential diagnostics in cardiologic patients». (At the end of the event complete cardiologic examination of a patient can be carried out.) 5. "Electrocardiography" (each listener analyzes 10 electrocardiograms of 10 dogs and discusses results with other listeners).
